Aerospace is a major presence in Colorado: the state's economic development office reports more than 2,000 aerospace businesses employing over 56,000 people directly. Most buyers in that world are engineers and program staff who check a supplier's processes, quality systems and experience online, so a technical, current website is part of winning work.
Consultancies and technical firms outnumber shops. The 2023 count found 28,143 professional, scientific and technical services establishments and 18,589 retail trade establishments. Firms that sell expertise to careful buyers gain more from detailed service pages, project examples and answers to evaluation questions than from slogans.
Small teams are the norm. Colorado had 182,486 employer establishments, and 87.1% of employer establishments here had fewer than 20 employees. With an estimated 6,012,561 residents in July 2025, up 4.1% from the 2020 base, many of those firms serve both specialized business buyers and a growing consumer market, and a single site often has to work for both.
